Prompt: Do you think twelve-year-olds are ready to choose their future careers? In what ways are twelve-year-olds in our society tracked ino their future careers? What Life Assignment would you like if you had to choose right now? Explain.
I think 12-year-olds are not ready to choose their future careers. That is because in our future we might change out minds, and maybe we want to make our own decision on a job. Also, 12 is a young age, that is not right, that you have to work/train to work, when you are still a kid, not even teenager yet. In our society, 12-year-olds can start volunteering, they don't have to, but they can. Also, they do activities in school, and after, too. All that kind of gives them an idea, of what they are comfortable working with, and using. So, that way, they also kind of get an idea of what they want to be when they are older. If I had to choose a life assignment at this age, I would be a pediatrician. That is because I absolutely love kids. And instead of being a nurturer, I want to help them get better, heal them you can say. But maybe, I will find another interest when I am older, maybe I won't become a pediatrician. Good thing that I don't have to make my decision soon, but I will be ready when it comes time.
